The Outdoor Industry Association—one of the largest member collectives of outdoor brands comprised of leaders from organizations like REI, Patagonia, and Hydroflask—needed to evolve to ensure they’re poised to help their members have a positive impact on the outdoor industry and climate preservation.
How We’re Supporting OIA:
We’re helping the Outdoor Industry Association press pause ensure they are leveraging their competitive advantage and opportunities with velocity.
Be the catalyst for the industry in order to move the needle in policy, sustainable business innovation and outdoor participation.
One of the core principles in any business—be it non-profits, governments, small business, or large enterprise–is to ensure you’re providing deep value to your customers. In a world that moves quickly, it’s particularly important your organization check-in and make sure you are best serving your customer needs.
We recently completed a facilitated exercise with the Outdoor Industry Association (OIA) to check-in on the value they provide to their customers. A unique organization comprised of hard-hitting leaders from some of the world’s biggest outdoor brands, OIA needed to take a step back and ensure they’re poised to best serve their members.
OIA’s leadership team, a team of CEOs with unique viewpoints, worked with our own Erica Olsen and Jeff Brunings over a two-day retreat to re-center the organization and create a roadmap to provide deep member value in the name of industry growth and promotion of the outdoor lifestyle.
As the team explored unmet needs of members today and mega-trends impacting how businesses and consumers will change in the coming decade, the session reminded us of the importance of providing value to your customers and the importance of taking advantage of the opportunities that come our way.
Great work and thinking by the team at OIA. We can’t wait to see how you change the industry you serve!
