Making WiFi Accessible in San Francisco, California

Aug 25, 2016

This week, we are traveling to San Francisco to help finalize the City and County of San Francisco Department of Technology’s strategic plan.

Throughout the last several months, we have been working with Department of Technology’s energetic team to finish their strategic plan and move it into execution. One of their strategies is increasing connectivity to residents, visitors, business – everyone in San Francisco and beyond! They aim to expand publicly internet #SFWIFI. Here are a couple of notes about the work:

  • We especially appreciate how the Department of Technology is dedicated to positively impacting the lives of their citizens with free accessible WiFi. In a region that hosts some of the world’s biggest technology players (Google, Facebook, and Twitter), their focus on connectivity makes sense.
  • As a technology enabled service firm, we’re honored to be part of this process. We can see the immediate value CCSFDT will add to the region with this plan. They understand the commitment it takes for innovation and technology advancement and we have a great deal of respect for that.
  • Details matter! The difference between good plans and great plans is in the details. They’ve been devoted to articulating the why/when/how/who and making sure their plan is executable.
  • It’s been a full-court press. Between our team and Department of Technology’s internal team, it has been a dedicated effort to see the plan across the finish line. We always appreciate clients who are engaged and involved in the end-to-end process.
